The 6th Grade trip to Fiji is an Anneliese Schools tradition, and the culminating cultural immersion for our sixth graders before they leave us. The trip is focused on experiencing the Fijian culture by becoming immersed in it, in one of the most beautiful examples of unspoiled nature one can find in the world.
It is easy to be initially enticed by the picturesque landscapes, crystal clear water, and colorful reefs. But everyone who has been lucky enough to experience this trip agrees that the most profound beauty is found within the overly generous, kind, and genuine Fijian people who welcome us with open arms, share priceless life lessons, and teach us what life is all about.
The cultural immersion trip to Fiji is life-changing, and the students and families all returned with a deep appreciation for what Frau Anneliese envisioned many years ago.
Earlier in the school year, the sixth grade students held a fundraiser to purchase solar panels for a school building in the village that the Anneliese Schools helps support. Our students were happy to visit the school building that benefited from the solar panels and see the impact their efforts made on the villagers. They also came to Fiji with bags of clothing, shoes and other supplies for local Fijian families.
